Bringing an Android Camera Signal into Livestream Studio™

Livestream Studio allows you to use your Android device as a remote camera source.

Download the Livestream Android application.

Note: You must be running Android version 4.0 or higher in order to install the Livestream app on Android devices.

Connect your Android device via WiFi to the same network that your Livestream Studio system is connected to.

Open the Livestream Android application and tap the menu icon in the upper left corner, then the gearwheel.

This will open your settings menu. Tap 'Studio Remote Camera.'

Tap 'Use as Remote Camera.'

This will activate your Android device as a live Remote Camera source. The notification will read "Waiting for Studio to connect..."

Tip: You can hold your camera at portrait or landscape mode; the picture will still hold a 16:9 aspect ratio.

In Studio, ensure you have added a Remote Camera as an input.

  • If you have not added a Remote Camera as an input, open your Studio preferences and select the "Inputs" tab.
  • Click the "+" button to add a new input and select "Remote Camera" from the drop-down menu.
  • Save your changes.

In Studio, select the Remote Cam tab.

Within the Remote Cam tab, you will find a list of all remote camera devices currently connected to your network. You can click each remote camera device to reveal a preview.

Find your Android device from the list of devices.

Now you may use your Android Device as a Remote Camera source in your Livestream Studio production.
