A Video I Want to Upload Is Larger than 3GB. Is There a Workaround?

Any recorded video file that you want to upload to your Livestream event page must be less than 3GB. However, we have a few suggestions for customers who have larger files.

The first is to compress your video, which will reduce the size. A simple and free software we have used successfully many times is MPEG Streamclip.

Open your video in MPEG Streamclip, then click File > Export MPEG-4.

The settings seen below include what we recommend for video file uploads:

Click Make MP4 and choose a name and save location. Your video will then begin exporting. The time it takes for this to complete depends on the length of your video. When it's completed, check your file for its size - if it's less than 3GB, you're good to go. If not, go back to MPEG Streamclip and drag the quality bar further to the left, then save it again.

The other option for clips that are larger than 3GB is to use editing software to divide the video into parts. You can then upload them separately (e.g. "Part 1," "Part 2," etc.) See here for how to change the order of your posts.
