Livestream has apps for both iOS and Android devices that you can use to watch any published events on Livestream.
After you download the free Livestream mobile app from the App Store, launch it, and log into your Livestream account using Facebook or email.
If you do not already have a Livestream account, you can sign up for an account directly from the app. Select Continue with Email, and then Sign up.
You will be brought to the home screen, which includes featured and popular live events.
You can refresh the home screen by scrolling all the way up, holding the scroll down for a moment and then releasing it. A new event may load.
The stream that appears on the home page is muted by default. This means the app will be silent when you open it. Tap the audio icon in the lower right corner for full audio.
Tap any event to go to its page. If the event is live, the live player will load at the top, with any other posts populating below.
If you prefer to watch in landscape mode, turn your device to its side. The player will switch automatically.
Tap the speech bubble icon to participate in the event's chat.
You can also like the video by tapping the heart or click the share button to post the link to various social media channels.
Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner for more navigation options.
Tap search if there is a specific event or account that you are looking for. Results will appear below the search bar.
Popular includes any live, upcoming, and on-demand events with the most viewers, plus accounts with the most followers.
Following includes any live, upcoming or archived events from accounts you are following.
If you have trouble viewing a live video, we recommend closing any open apps on your device and try a different network connection (Wi-Fi to 4G, etc.)
Also, it is possible the producer is only sending their stream at a high bitrate. Typically mobile devices cannot process higher bitrates due to fluctuating download speeds and processor limitations. While all streams on Livestream are available in mobile-supported formats, it is up to the producer to determine what bitrate(s) he/she sends their stream.
