You can receive notifications about events through two methods: following the account hosting the event on Livestream, or by adding it to your calendar of choice. Both methods are detailed below.
Follow Other Livestream Accounts
If you have an account on livestream.com, you can follow any other Livestream account. Start by going to their profile page.
If you are on an event page, click the name to the left of the event name at the top of the page to navigate to the profile page.
You will see a +Follow button on the top right side of the page.
Click +Follow to follow them; the button will now read Following.
Now whenever this account sends out a notification, such as scheduling a new event or going live, you will receive either an email or a push notification from the Livestream app, depending on your notification settings. You can adjust your notification settings at any time.
Keep in mind that account owners may choose to not send out notifications regarding their events. This is entirely at the discretion of the organization hosting the event.
Using the Get Notified Button
This method can work for anyone, including viewers who do not have an account on livestream.com.
If you find an event that you are interested in watching, you can add it to an online calendar. On the event page, click the Get Notified button.
This will reveal three calendar options: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook. Selecting your preferred calendar service will either direct you to an event on that calendar for you to save or download the calendar file for you to import into your calendar program.
The below image is the window that opened when selecting Google Calendar. Apple Calendar and Outlook will download calendar files.
Troubleshooting: If you select Google Calendar and this window does not open, it could be due to your browser's pop-up blocker. Check your browser settings and make sure you allow pop-up windows from livestream.com.
