Why Can't I Stream to Facebook And Other Providers Simultaneously?

If you have enabled streaming to Facebook and also added YouTube or Custom Destinations, you may have noticed that it is not possible to enable both at the same time.

This is because Facebook's Terms of Service clearly states that streams cannot be simulcasted to Facebook and other online services at the same time. Livestream must abide by these terms of service.

As a result, customers must choose to either simulcast to Facebook destinations only (Profile, Pages, Groups), or simulcast to other destinations (up to five). Unfortunately, we cannot allow for both to be selected.

Is this true even if you subscribe to the basic ($10) plan with Livestream?

    Devon,
Unfortunately, you cannot connect your Facebook account directly and stream using a Custom Destination. This work around only allows you to select one or the other. You can set multiple Custom Destinations if you would like!

    Jeff,
Regardless of the plan you have, this will be the case. The restriction resides within Facebook so we unfortunately don't have the ability to revoke it. Streaming as a Custom Destination is the work around for all of our users!
