USB Modem Compatibility for the Broadcaster
Last updated on May 19, 2015 04:34PM EDT
The Livestream Broadcaster offers the ability to use a USB Modem to broadcast to your New Livestream events.
When using a modem, you will need to power the device with the modem connected. Hot-plugging is not yet supported.
Below are officially supported US Modems:
* Support added in Firmware v. 1.1.0 ** Support added in Firmware v. 1.2.1 *** Not supported on the Broadcaster Pro. We are working on resolving the compatibility issue currently.
These modems have all been tested with their latest firmware. Please be sure to install all latest upgrades for the best compatibility. Additional modems may work with the Livestream Broadcaster, including international carriers, but we do not officially support them at this time.
International modems currently compatible:
- Huawei e303
- Huawei e3131
NOTE: Depending on your Mobile (3G/4G) carrier, you may need to utilize the Custom option within the USB Modem section of the Broadcaster menu to establish a connection to the internet. You can find more information on these options within the Custom Modem Configuration page of the Support Center.
For a list of unsupported modems as reported by other Livestream producers see: USB Modems Currently NOT Supported with the Livestream Broadcaster
To help us improve this list please share your success and requests for 3G/4G modems with us by emailing email@example.com. We will work as fast as we can to add more support for popular carriers and modems.
