How to use Android Devices with Livestream Studio

Last updated on Apr 06, 2014 08:56PM EDT

Livestream Studio Software™ 2.0 allows you to use your Android device as a remote camera.

Download the Livestream Android application.

Connect your Android device via WiFi to the same network as your Livestream Studio.

Open the Livestream Android application and tap the gear wheel. This will open the application settings.

Tap "Studio Remote Camera" and make sure Studio Remote Camera is enabled.

Tap the "Camera" icon and select Studio Remote Camera.

This will activate your Android device as a live remote camera source. The notification on the top left will read "Waiting for Studio to connect..."

In Studio, make sure you have added a remote camera as an input.
  • If you have not added a remote camera as an input, open your Studio preferences and select the "Video Input / Output" tab.
  • Click the "+" button to add a new input and select "Remote Camera" from the drop-down menu.
Select the Remote Cam tab.

Within the Remote Cam tab, you will find a list of all remote camera devices currently connected to your network. You can click each remote camera device to reveal a preview.

Find your Android device from the list of devices.

Now you use your Android Device as a camera source in your Livestream Studio production.
